Welcome to the Yidz Inn B&B in Southern Illinois

The Yidz Inn kosher country house is lauded by locals and guests alike as a "little oasis." Set apart in the Carbondale woodlands, a little more than a mile from the SIU campus, the character and charm of each open space in this newly renovated farmhouse welcomes you to wind down, and enjoy a respite of peace and quiet in nature.

Blending rustic charm with modern chic, the Yidz Inn has been meticulously updated to offer both comfort and character. Expect plush linens, tranquil spaces, and warm, inviting touches throughout. Wake each morning to a healthy, home-cooked kosher breakfast, included with your stay and served indoors or out, depending on the season.

The Yidz Inn offers a warm welcome to all. Aspiring Jewish SIU students will find a supportive space with kosher accommodations, while RV travelers, short-stay campers, longer-term professionals, and remote workers can enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We also offer occasional work-for-stay exchange options.

The Seasons

In answer to our most frequently asked question, “What’s the weather like?” - it can be summarized as: unpredictable, surprising, mild, freezing, brutally hot, perfectly cool, magical, chilly, glorious, living, and thriving.

We've pictured the changing seasons here.
